I definitely recommend this course to anyone who is looking for a way to feel more prepared in staying safe. They offered great points on mindset, shared real life examples, and really made the students feel a sense of comradery throughout the class; we are all in this together. I left feeling stronger in my defense tactics, mental perspective, and physical movements. Gary Drake put on three days of training for a large group consisting of our department's specialized investigations units. From the beginning we could tell his training was designed for the kind of environment we worked in. In the new age of “softer” policing, it was refreshing to get instruction in “real world” defensive hand to hand fighting and pistol shooting. Gary does not sugar coat the examples where his training could save your life and all of the fundamentals he taught could be applied to every technique. If you like an intense training environment where you are tired and sore at the end of each long day, but finish with confidence in what you are learning, I’d definitely recommend going thru his ARRESTLING course.
